Losing teeth changes how you eat, talk and smile. Dentures are still one of the most practical ways to get that back, and the options today go well beyond the loose plate most people picture. At Mesquite Dental & Implant Center, Dr. George Varghese fits full dentures, partial dentures and implant-supported dentures for patients in Mesquite, Balch Springs, Garland, Forney, Rowlett and Sunnyvale.

Which type of denture fits your situation

Full dentures replace every tooth on the top, the bottom, or both. They rest on your gums and are held in place by suction, with adhesive if you want a little extra grip.

Partial dentures fill the gaps when you still have healthy teeth. They clip to your natural teeth and keep them from drifting into the empty space.

Implant-supported dentures (also called overdentures) snap onto [two to six] dental implants. They stay put when you bite into an apple, they rub less, and the implants help protect the jawbone under the denture. If this sounds like what you want, read about full mouth dental implants and All-on-4.

What happens at your first visit

We start with an exam and, when needed, a 3D scan with our cone beam imaging so we can see your bone and plan the fit. Then we talk through the options, what each one costs, and how long the process will take for you. If teeth need to come out first, we explain the order of treatment, and for patients who feel anxious about extractions we offer IV sedation. Some patients also need bone grafting before an implant denture, and we will tell you up front if that applies to you.

Dentures or implants?

Dentures cost less up front and are a good fit for many people. Implants cost more at the start but feel closer to natural teeth and last longer for many patients. Missing teeth also let the jawbone shrink over time, and a denture that fit well two years ago can start to slip. We will show you both paths and let you decide. There is no pressure to pick the pricier one.

What Dentures Cost in Mesquite

Dentures start at $1,836, with the final cost depending on the type, materials, number of teeth being replaced, and whether extractions or grafting are needed. You will receive a written estimate before treatment begins.

We also review your dental benefits and offer flexible financing through Cherry, featuring fast approval without a hard credit inquiry, interest-free payments when paid within 12 months for qualifying plans, and extended monthly payment options to help make treatment more affordable.

Preguntas frecuentes sobre las dentaduras

How long do dentures last?

Las dentaduras postizas pueden durar entre 5 y 7 años con el cuidado adecuado, aunque es posible que sea necesario hacer ajustes a medida que la boca cambie con el tiempo.

Will I be able to eat normally?

Sí, después de un breve período de adaptación, puede comer la mayoría de los alimentos. Comience con alimentos blandos y vuelva gradualmente a su dieta normal.

Will dentures hurt?

Esto depende de cuántos dientes naturales tenga todavía. Te recomendaremos la mejor opción después de un examen minucioso.

Do I take them out at night?

Las dentaduras convencionales se fabrican después de que se hayan extraído los dientes y el tejido de las encías haya comenzado a sanar. Las dentaduras postizas inmediatas se fabrican con antelación y se pueden colocar tan pronto como se extraigan los dientes.

Can I get dentures if I have very little bone?

Often yes. Implant-supported options and bone grafting can help. A scan is the only way to know for sure.
